NEW RELEASE!!!

In honor of my love of the whimsical and fantastical (please let that be a word -lol) and of course anything period costume related. So it just seemed natural that after drooling over the costumes, designed by the AMAZING Colleen Atwood, in Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" that I would bring my versions to u now!... They are not copies.. they are a very accurate interpretation... I did all the artwork myself, including doing a close study and recreating the pastoral embroidery on the hem of the blue dress. I limited my depictions to a bird, rabbit, and fox. The fabric is textured as a silk chiffon. The red and black dress has some fun Goth elements, lots of layers, and lots of Red Queen of Hearts-ness.

Why I LOVE Second Life!

This Picture should evoke Horror and Terror in the hearts and minds of any bride, bride-to-be, or bride-that-was. But alas, in Second Life you can jump in the cool refreshing water in your wedding gown and look GORGEOUS!!! Not to mention, when you jump out of the water... you are instantly dry, your dress doesnt smell of ocean, and you ready as ever to dance the night away! Where else can you go swimming in a gown or pose for photos in a wedding gown,...IN THE WATER! I knew I had something here when I was fooling around with snapshots so I wanted to take a moment and put it up for whoever might stop by.

New Bridal Gowns!

Over the past few months House of Dashwood has been making a few changes in the direction of the line. While most lines usually start with a focus, here at House of Dashwood we experimented a little and tried a few different things before settling on what I knew all along. House of Dashwood will be known from here on out for Bridal and Formal wear. In the small store we will still sell some costumes and swimwear but as a designer I must stay true to what I do best. I hope you will agree with me when you see the latest gowns from House of Dashwood that Bridal is where I belong.

And perhaps like the movie Wall-E came into being many years after its inception, the House of Dashwood period inspired collection will find its way to the market someday as well.
